In 2018, I took part in and won the annual Draw Fashion competition run by the art supply store Cass Art. At the time, I was studying for my BA in Embroidery for Fashion, and the illustrations I created were a reflection of that embroidery work. I produced a set of illustrations using a variety of materials, including acrylic paint, oil pastel, and paint pens. I then digitised these colourful illustrations so they could be used to create digital collages. Working in this way allowed for experimentation and the creation of multiple iterations. My final fashion illustrations are bold, colourful, and rich with pattern and texture, reflecting the style of embroidery they were based on.
